CAKE on XIII PROŚ meeting

On June 21, 2023, the 13th meeting of the Państwowa Rada Ochrony Środowiska (PROŚ) took place, during which the effects of economic transformation in the context of implementing the Fit for 55 package were discussed.

During the meeting, Maciej Pyrka from CAKE delivered a presentation on this topic. The discussion was moderated by Krystian Szczepański, Director of the Institute of Environmental Protection – National Research Institute, and Secretary of the State Environmental Protection Council.

The meeting addressed important issues concerning the future of the energy sector, including the development of nuclear energy, electricity production from renewable sources, GHG emission reduction, the advancement of electric transportation, the CBAM tax, and the utilization of hydrogen.

It was an engaging debate on climate protection, and the discussion was based on the findings of the latest CAKE report.
