CAKE on annual EU ETS workshop organised by PIK

On 8 December 2025, experts from our CAKE team – Robert Jeszke, Maciej Pyrka and Sebastian Lizak – took part in the annual EU ETS workshop organised by PIK (Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research) in Brussels.

 

The discussion focused on emission allowance price forecasts in the EU ETS, recent updates to the models used to create price projections, an overview of supply and demand factors in the CO2 market (EU ETS), and potential improvements to the MSR reserve mechanism.
