CAKE at the NFOŚiGW and KPK LIFE webinar, 16 December 2025

On 16 December 2025, Maciej Cygler, CAKE Expert, was one of the speakers at a webinar organised by NFOŚIGW and the National LIFE Contact Point entitled ‘The effects of selected Polish LIFE projects in the field of climate protection’.

During his presentation, Maciej Cygler briefly outlined the history of the Centre for Climate and Energy Analysis (CAKE) – a team of experts operating at KOBIZE, which for a decade, thanks to projects financed by the LIFE Programme, has been conducting advanced analyses in the field of climate and energy policy and providing high-quality substantive support to decision-makers and stakeholders in this area.

Maciej Cygler presented the results and experiences of the completed LIFE VIIEW2050 project entitled ‘The impact assessment of the EU Emission Trading System with the long-term vision for a climate neutral economy by 2050”  (LIFE19 GIC PL/001205)’, including its objectives, the characteristics of the modelling workshop and the results achieved, as well as their usefulness and practical application. He also presented information about our current LIFE ENSPIRE project.

The discussion was moderated by Andrzej Muter (NFOŚiGW), and representatives of other LIFE projects also participated in the webinar: Martyna Jankiewicz – PROZON Climate Protection Foundation, Łukasz Łapiński – Investeko S.A. and Łukasz Sławik- MGGP Aero.
