KOBIZE position paper on the reform of the EU ETS
KOBiZE has submitted comments on the revision of the EU ETS Directive – only a few days left to participate in the consultation!
The National Centre for Emissions Management (KOBiZE) has submitted a position paper as part of the public consultation on the reform of the EU ETS for stationary installations, the maritime and aviation sectors, as well as the MSR reserve. Our contribution draws on findings from the LIFE VIIEW 2050 and LIFE ENSPIRE projects, which play a significant role in shaping both national and EU climate-energy policies.

We would like to remind you that the public consultation is only open until 8 July 2025.
In our position paper we refer in particular to:
- additional mechanisms in climate policy are necessary for the EU to reach its targets in a cost-acceptable way,
- it is essential to include carbon dioxide removals (CDRs) and offsets as a complement to reduction measures,
- a European Central Carbon Bank (European Central Carbon Bank) should be established to support the stability of the carbon market after 2030.
We encourage you to participate in the consultation – these are the last days to have your say on the future of EU climate policy.
