LIFE Information Day

On 13 May 2025, CAKE experts participated in the second LIFE Information Day organised by NFOŚIGW and the National LIFE Contact Point at the Novotel Warszawa Airport Hotel.

We would like to thank all those who visited our stand and attended the presentation of our expert, Maciej Cygler, who during his speech presented the experience of the CAKE team in the implementation of three projects carried out under the LIFE programme, i.e. LIFE Climate CAKE PL,  LIFE VIIEW 2050 and the newly launched LIFE ENSPIRE.

The presentation included:
reflections from the LIFE funding application process,
the most important factors influencing success in the evaluation of applications,
practical tips on budget planning, communication strategy and project team building.

In the second part of the presentation, Maciej Cygler discussed the main objectives and scope of our new LIFE ENSPIRE project, which focuses on analysing the potential for integrating neighbouring countries into the EU ETS also after 2050, as well as assessing the impact of EU ETS reforms on both Poland and the EU as a whole. This is an increasingly important topic in the context of Europe’s climate challenges and the EU’s long-term climate neutrality strategy.
