LIFE ENSPIRE at LIFE Information Day, 12.05.2026

On 12 May 2026, representatives of CAKE / KOBiZE / IOŚ-PIB – Aneta Tylka, Marta Rosłaniec, and Grzegorz Gmyrek – participated in the 19th LIFE Information Days organized by National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management (NFOŚiGW) in Poland, where they shared their experience related to the implementation of LIFE projects with the participants.

The conference was opened with speeches by Krzysztof Bolesta, Secretary of State at the Ministry of Climate and Environment; Dorota Zawadzka-Stępniak, President of the Management Board of NFOŚiGW; and Andrzej Muter, Head of the LIFE Department and National LIFE Contact Point at NFOŚiGW. The meeting was moderated by Marcin Jamiołkowski, Deputy Director of the Foreign Funds Department at NFOŚiGW.

The event brought together representatives of research institutions, local governments, and commercial companies implementing projects under the LIFE Programme. The conference provided a platform for exchanging experiences related both to project implementation and to preparing applications for the European Commission.

Representatives of CAKE / KOBiZE / IOŚ-PIB presented activities carried out under the LIFE Programme at their exhibition stand, including experience gained through coordinating and participating in projects financed by the LIFE Programme. It was also an opportunity to promote our ongoing LIFE ENSPIRE project as well as the completed LIFE Climate CAKE PL and LIFE VIIEW 2050 projects.

One of the key elements of the meeting was a series of presentations concerning funding opportunities available under this year’s edition of the LIFE Programme. Karolina Wądołowska presented information on the current call for proposals under the EU LIFE 2026 Programme. An important part of the conference also consisted of presentations by LIFE Programme beneficiaries, showcasing the practical results of implemented projects.

    • Paweł Gilewski from KAPE – the Polish National Energy Conservation Agency – explained issues related to participation in LIFE projects focused on energy transition.
    • Anna Wilińska presented the stages of project implementation in Kampinos National Park – from the level of individual farms to the national level.
    • Krzysztof Grzegorczyk presented the outcomes of several projects coordinated by PROZON Foundation for Climate Protection, including RE-ELECTRO 4LIFE and LEGAL HFC 4 LIFE, aimed at reducing the illegal trade in HFC gases.
    • Arkadiusz Primus, President of Investeko S.A., presented details of the plasticLIFEcycle project, which enabled the creation of a value chain in which heterogeneous plastic waste is processed and reused, including through the use of 3D printing technology in the processing stage.

We would like to sincerely thank NFOŚiGW for organizing such an excellent conference, which also provided a valuable opportunity for networking with other projects, including LIFE Pilica, Kampinowskie Bagna 2, CoolLIFE, LIFE Podkarpackie, Refrigerants LIFE Cycle, LIFE Podkowiec Plus, LIFE Riverease, LIFE ArchiClima, LIFE-INF-Army, KampinosWetLife (Warsaw University of Life Sciences – SGGW), GOZilla Pomorskie!, and LIFE Dimitra (Łukasiewicz Research Network – New Chemical Syntheses Institute), LIFE Ekomałopolska.
